Port Blair Port is a seaport in South Andaman District of Andaman and Nicobar in India, near the city of Port Blair. Located on the Andaman Sea, it is one of the major ports in India. The port operated by Port Blair Port Trust. All major provisions of the Major Port Trusts Act, 1963, have become applicable to the major port of Port Blair from June 1, 2010. With this, the Port Blair becomes the 13th major port in India and only major port in Andaman and Nicobar.
Currently, the BRO (Boarder Road Organization) maintains operations in twenty-one states, one UT (Andaman and Nicobar Islands), and neighboring countries such as Afghanistan, Bhutan, Myanmar, and Sri Lanka. The BRO operates and maintains over 32,885 kilometers of roads and about 12,200 meters of permanent bridges in the country. Presently, BRO is also involved in the construction of a tunnel at the Rohtang pass which is estimated to be ready by 2019. It is currently headed by Lt General Suresh Sharma who is the 24th Director General Border Roads (DGBR)
Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the great visionary and first Prime Minister of India conceptualized Border Roads Organization in 1960. The organization primarily meets the defence requirement towards infrastructure development of remote Border areas of North & North East states.

In the above given options, transport of passengers, transferring of international mails and transport of delicate, fragile and light cargoes are carried out by airlines. But transfer of bulky freight is not done by aeroplanes because it may be dangerous as it carries passengers along. Usually bulky freight or bulk cargoes are transported by water ways which are cheap and safe.
