Metallic Minerals: The metallic minerals contain metals such as Iron, Copper, Manganese, Bauxite, and Gold. They are further divided into ferrous minerals and non-ferrous minerals.
Non-Metallic Minerals: The non-metallic minerals are minerals which do not contain metals such as mica, limestone, gypsum, potash, coal, petroleum etc.

Minerals can be classified into metallic and non-metallic minerals. Metallic Minerals is composed of metals in their original form, whereas no metals are found in non-metallic minerals. Metallic minerals are good conductors of heat and electricity. E.g iron, copper, bauxite, etc. Non metallic minerals are good insulators and include coal, dolomite, phosphate, salt, granite, etc.
