Explanation
Hydrogen bond is limited to certain compounds containing N,O or F. I is fair too big and not electronegative enough.The HCl is bond is polar covalent. HCl does have ionic properties and fully dissacociates in water. But the reason that HF does not fully dissacociates in solution because of its hydrogen bonds with water. Hence HF has strong H–bond and exists in a polymeric form in vapour phase.
BaCl2 has the greatest ionic character, due to greater electronegativity difference between cation and anion and large size of cation.
The length of the bond is determined by the number of bonded electrons (the bond order).
The higher the bond order, the stronger is the pull between the two atoms and the shorter the bond length. Generally, the length of the bond between two atoms is approximately the sum of the covalent radii of the two atoms.
Generally, bond length of polar bonds will be small compared to that of non-polar. Hence C-C has longest covalent bond distance.
BF3 acts as Lewis acid and NH3 acts as Lewis base. Hence NH3 forms an adduct readily with BF3 through coordinate bonding .
The molecular formula of the given compound is BenAl2Si6O8.
n =?
Now, (2×n) + (3×2) + (4×6) + (-2×18) = 0
⇒ 2n + 6 + 24 – 36 = 0
⇒ 2n – 6 = 0
⇒ 2n = 6
⇒ n = 6/2
⇒ n = 3
