Explanation
The reactivity series follows the order:
$$Pb>H>Cu$$
Thus, $$Cu$$ is below hydrogen and can't displace it. Therefore, no reaction would take place between $$Cu$$ and $$HCl$$.
In the electrolytic refining of zinc:
Anode: Impure zinc
Cathode: Strip of pure zinc
Electrolyte: Acidified zinc sulphate solution
At the anode, oxidation of metal occurs.
$$Zn \longrightarrow Zn^{2+} + 2e^–$$
At the cathode, reduction of metal ions takes place.
$$Zn^{2+} + 2e^– \longrightarrow Zn$$
