Sri Lanka and Maldives. Sri Lanka is separated from India by a narrow channel of sea formed by the Palk Strait and the Gulf of Mannar.
Sri Lanka and the Maldives are the two island neighbor countries located south of India. Seven countries are sharing the boundaries with India. In Northwest there are Afghanistan and Pakistan, In the North, India is bound with China, Bhutan and Nepal, too far east India, is surrounded by Myanmar and Bangladesh to the east. In the south-east there lies Sri Lanka and the Maldives in the south-west. These two countries share water borders.
