Transformation Of Sentences - Class 6 English - Extra Questions

Rewrite the following sentence in the way instructed:
(i) I stood trembling, outside the imposing RBI building.
(Frame a Wh-question to get underlined part as an answer)
(ii) I eagerly clambered up to take in the sight of Mumbai.
(Identify the tense).
(iii) I enjoyed so many theater performances.
(Rewrite using 'used to').

(i) Where did you stand ? 
(ii) Simple Past Tense. 
(iii) I used to enjoy many theater performances.


  • Read the following conversation.
Ravi: What are you doing?
Mridu: I’m reading a book.
Ravi: Who wrote it?
Mridu: Ruskin Bond.
Ravi: Where did you find it?
Mridu: In the library.
Notice that ‘what’, ‘who’, ‘where’, are question words. Questions that require information begin with question words. Some other question words are ‘when’, ‘why’, ‘where’, ‘which’ and ‘how’.

What does it mean to refer to the "voice" in a piece of literature?

Every writer has their own flair; their own unique writing style. Their choice of words, sentence structures, and metaphors are very much their own.

This could also refer to the character's voice; again, practically the same as the above paragraph. Usually, the character(s) has repetitive phrases they use, words the choose, and structure of thought and speech. This influences the reader's  point of  view and opinion on the character(s)
