Explanation
Indira point is a village located in the Nicobar district of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. It was previously called as Pygmalion Point and Parsons Point. It is the southernmost tip of India’s territory.
It was drowned by tsunami that hit on 26th January 2004. This was the first place drowned in the tsunami.
On 17th August 1947 India and Pakistan border was demarcated. It was called the Radcliffe Line named after its architect Cyril Radcliffe. This border is present on east side between India and East Pakistan (presently Bangladesh) and on the west side again between India and West Pakistan.
